CORNERSTONE TEAM
Rheanna (Rhea) Quagliariello serves as an Architectural Associate at Cornerstone Architectural Group. Since joining the firm in 2019 as an intern, she has grown into a key member of the project team, actively managing projects from early design through construction documentation. Her responsibilities include project coordination, code research and compliance, consultant collaboration, and client communication across industrial, municipal, and interior projects. While Rhea brings strong graphic, 3D modeling, and rendering skills to the design process, her role has evolved well beyond visualization, reflecting her development as a well-rounded project professional. She is currently on the architectural licensure track and has successfully completed four of the six ARE examinations.
Rhea approaches design challenges like solving puzzles, particularly on interior fit-out projects where she works with the "pieces" clients provide and figures out how to make them fit together effectively. Her rendering and 3D modeling capabilities have become essential tools for helping clients understand design intent, for example, transforming something as simple as a door swing that may be unclear in plan view into an immediately understandable visual experience. This ability to translate technical drawings into accessible imagery brings particular value during the design communication process.
Among her notable projects is Oishii, a 237,500-square-foot indoor vertical strawberry farming facility completed in 2023. It was especially exciting work due to the project's innovative technology, which included grow rooms that move on a 24-hour cycle to simulate sunlight, pollination by bees, and custom robots that harvest berries at peak ripeness. Rhea coordinated directly with Oishii while working alongside MEP and structural engineers to plan the warehouse facility. She also contributed to LL Salon Suites, a 7,500-square-foot renovation that transformed existing retail space into 35 individual suites for hairstylists and estheticians. With each suite equipped with wash stations and counter space, the project required maximizing the number of rentable rooms within the existing footprint.
Outside the office, Rhea enjoys video games, reading, and spending time with her dog Jersey and her family. She and her fiancé paddleboard at the beach during summer months and take snowboarding trips to Vermont in winter.
