This project consisted of the interior fit-out of a new MedFirst Urgent Care facility located within the Waterview Marketplace at Route 46 and Waterview Boulevard in Parsippany, New Jersey. The approximately 4,272 square foot tenant space was designed to accommodate a full-service urgent care center, including clinical treatment areas, support spaces, and administrative functions.
Architectural services included programming and space planning, verification of existing conditions, preparation of as-built documentation, and the development of comprehensive construction documents in accordance with the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. The design process focused on establishing efficient adjacencies, clear patient circulation, and functional clinical workflows within an existing retail shell environment.
Construction documents included demolition and build-out plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, millwork elevations, accessibility details, and coordination with separately contracted mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering disciplines.
The project was executed as an interior renovation within an active commercial shopping center, requiring careful coordination with existing building conditions and landlord criteria. The design balanced operational efficiency, patient experience, and regulatory compliance while adapting an existing tenant space for medical occupancy.
