his project involved designing a new building to house the dental offices for two practices; one adult dentistry and the other for pediatrics. Family Dentistry on Park is owned by Dr. Jayant Patel and Dr. Shruti Gonzales. Pediatriac on Park is owned by Dr. Geoffrey Gonzales
The practices are owned by one family, and therefore share many of the same amenities once you are past the lobby. One side of the building houses the pediatric hygiene bay and exam room, the other houses the adult exam rooms. The core consists of the shared x-ray and lab.
The site is adjacent to both residential and commercial properties. In order to be sensitive to the location, we broke the massing up of the building to more in scale with the adjacent residences. We used cleaner more modern lines to be sympathetic to the neighboring commercial properties. Cantilevered canopies define the entrances to the separate lobbies for each practice.
